Kendra writes a letter.

Aside from a letter written to Santa (done with lost of mommy help) this was Kendra's first letter to someone. She had just written out the alphabet in "letter appropriate size" handwriting and was showing it to me. I told her she did wonderfully and that she would soon be able to write letters to people someday. (now that the individual letters are not the size of your thumbprint or larger, much larger) Well if you tell Kendra she will be able to do something, she will want to do it immediately. So she got a new piece of paper and said she wanted to write a letter. I asked her to whom and she thought about it for a second then said Papa Jack (my grandad). So with a little help from me (spelling each word she requested) she wrote her first real letter and was very proud of herself (so was her Mama if you can't tell) In the letter she asked him why his name was Papa Jack, and told me she was sure that would make him laugh when he read that part. Then she drew a picture of him "with the curly hair on top". She mailed it the next day and was thrilled when he called her after he received it to answer her question. He told her his name is Papa Jack because it sounded better than Mama Jack. That made her laugh! ;-) And was a perfect Grandad responce. Love you!

Now she is on a letter writing kick and today told me she thinks she needs to write a thank you letter to Santa and the elves for all her Christmas presents. She is SO much fun!
