It's all about soccer now...

It's all about soccer around here these days. Everyone is talking about it. It's funny only a few years ago this time of year, all the talk was basketball (March Madness) and it all came from Mark, now it's soccer. I was telling Kendra that she will need to listen to her coach when he is talking to her, putting great emphasis on the fact that she will need to NOT talk. She instantly understood, well kind of. Her very quick and enthusiastic response was "It's OK if I can't talk because I know sign language". I couldn't help but laugh out loud. What do you say to that? And today Mark came home with shin guards for her, Kendra said " I have been wanting these my whole life"

Travis is loving it too. Well at home he loves it. Even in a dead sleep last night he was saying "Soccer ball, Soccer Ball" but at the field he gets board and finds creative ways to entertain himself. Here he is filling the aerating holes in the field with rabbit droppings. Thank goodness for hand sanitizer. :-)

Trevor loves soccer too. And as usual for him, he wants to do everything Kendra is doing. Mom and Dad (grandma Sandy and Papa) were out for dinner the other night and Dad (Papa) was feeling well enough to pay a little soccer with Trevor in the back yard. It was priceless watching them kick the ball back and forth to each other without any interference from the other kids.

Well Kendra's games start on Saturday. Her team's color is LIME GREEN! We'll keep you posted.
