The 4th of July

This year for the 4th, we went up to the condo at Lake Tahoe.  Katy's Grandpa works up there and lets us use the condo to prevent us from having to drive down the hill after the fireworks.  It is always so much fun up at the lake.  It is a 50 yard walk to the beach.  Katy always enjoys going there because of all the memories she has from when she was a kid.  She wants to create those same memories for her kids.  The boys LOVE going to the lake to roll around in the sand and play in the water.  It is way too cold for me to do that.

The cool thing about where we stay is that they have a hot tub, pool, and kiddy pool right on the beach.  While we were sitting on the beach and later in the hot tub, there were 2 fly overs by jet planes, and then a bomber.  If we hadn't had the 2 jets fly over earlier, I would have thought the bomber was crashing, it was way close.

Who could forget the fireworks and caramel popcorn from the Ross family.  The kids loved the fireworks and the popcorn as you can see below.  Hopefully next year we will be able to do it again.
